Association

Hyvinkää region Association for Mental Health was founded in 1982 by a few active individuals. Ten years later the association got official status when it was registered in the register of associations in 11.11.1992.

With the financial support from (Finland’s Slot Machine Association) RAY, the city of Hyvinkää and nearby municipalities, the role of the association as a complement to basic mental health services has grown. Currently there are nine officials, and some part-time workers working in various positions.

There are altogether 30 social and health sector professional working in crisis duty, organized on municipalities’ assignment, and in Child Welfare meeting point work. Also a large network of volunteers has a significant role in making association’s work possible.
